We have discussed about positive psychology; in our previous article and now we discuss about how Positive Psychology can help us in Stress management. In simple words It is new and popular branch of psychology which focuses on emotional health. Its main area is to focus on strengths, virtues and find factors which help people to achieve a sense of fulfillment.
WE have learned now about positive psychology and now will discuss some points about Stress. Stress is universal truth and I am not wrong when I am saying it. We are stressed every day, reason varies but we are stressed. If you think that you are not stressed then you may have learned something special state of mind and I invite you to tell people in comments about it.
Let’s try to understand the concept of Stress and Positive psychology in a short story. In ancient time’s one saint named Jin Liu was lived in China. He was known to heal other people through his god gifted powers. People, who went to cure their illness, always notice that he is always happy, calm and it gives them sense of fulfillment. They forget about their pain and attain calmness and become happy. It was very pleasant experience for them but they attain their old lifestyle again in 2, 3 days. Then they again went to meet him. Their pain gone but they simply want to meet him and have a discussion. It may seem to them that they would get mental peace and they forget their worries.
One day one man asked him about his powers then he smiled and said, I have nothing to worry about but people have. When they come here and talk they bring their burdens of thoughts with them. If you try see then you will find it. They are worried about their family, health, future etc. They forget when they worry about future and past on which they can’t do anything they are spoiling their present. Because what has happened happened, nothing can do about it. It’s like one worry about Saturn when you are sitting over earth. You have no idea of Saturn and don’t know about climate, culture etc. It’s simpler like this story. Your worries don’t make any difference and all you can do is getting stressed. Then man asked but you must have invent some techniques, Please tell about that: The Sage tell him to have a walk in forest with bare foot at 4 am morning. He then gave him some techniques to follow and asked to meet when he accept these in his behavior. These are:
That person had some doubts and he asked questions about these five from Sage. He gave him every answer and their meeting was all about these 5 principals for 3 days. Sage smiled and tells him to learn about these and help other peoples too. Then after sage continues his next journey.
